This policy covers everything Fifth Down Sports LLC makes: Fifth Down, the pick’em league app (the app and its website, fifthdown.app), and fifthdownsports.com, home of the Rooting Guide, the Fifth Down Forecast, and our writing. One account works across all of it, and this one policy covers all of it.

The short version: we store what it takes to run your league and your forecasts, we sell nothing, we run no ads, and no ad or tracking network ever sees you.

What we store

Your email address. It is how you sign in and how your account is identified. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your address, Apple gives us a relay address instead and we never see your real one. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your address; we never see your password.
A display name you choose, shown to the other players in your league. It does not have to be your real one.
A favorite college team, if you pick one, shown as your badge.
Your league picks, and the results worked out from them, and which leagues you belong to.
Your forecasts — brackets, Heisman lists, championship slates and Top 25 ballots submitted on fifthdownsports.com, tied to your account so they can follow you between devices and be counted once.
A handle, if you type one onto a forecast graphic. It appears on that graphic — that is its whole job.
An account identifier, generated when you sign up, which ties the above together.

Website measurement

Our websites count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not identify or follow you: we learn that a page was visited, not who you are or where you go afterwards. The app itself contains no analytics.

What we do not do

No advertising, and no ad networks.
No cookies for tracking, and no cross-site tracking of any kind.
No selling of your data, and no sharing it with anyone except the service providers below who host it for us.
No payments. The app keeps score; any money among friends is settled between them, outside our products.
No location, contacts, photos, or microphone access.

Who can see what

In a league, your picks stay hidden from everyone until each game kicks off, so nobody can copy them. After kickoff they are visible to the other players in your league, along with your name, badge and record. People outside your league see none of it. The person who runs your league can see the email addresses of its players; they cannot change them, and they cannot sign in as you.

On the Forecast, your submitted ballots are counted into public aggregate numbers — “the consensus” — which never show who voted for what. A graphic you download or a link you share shows exactly what you put on it, including your handle if you added one.

Where it lives

Data is held by Supabase, which hosts the database and sign-in, and our websites are served by Vercel. Game schedules, point spreads and scores come from CollegeFootballData and ESPN; those requests are made by our server, not by your device, so neither is told anything about you.

Deleting your data

You can leave a league at any time from the League tab, and delete your account and everything attached to it from the same place in the app. You can also email team@fifthdown.app from your account’s address and we will delete it for you.

Children

Fifth Down is rated 18+ on the App Store and none of our products are directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date at the top. We will not quietly change what we collect.
